DYC changed everything for me!!
I came to DYC thinking that God was going to show me something really big, but instead He showed me a lot of little things. On Saturday, He taught me that He always answers prayers, mostly in ways that I don’t understand. On Sunday, He showed me that He’s always been there with me, even all those times I thought He wasn’t. Also on Sunday, He taught me that He always works things out for the best. And in the end, all the little things came together to make one point: God’s plans are bigger and better than mine! DYC made me realize that God’s ways aren’t my ways. I knew this before, but had never really experienced it.

Hello DYCers
This is Brian Mosher, Rhodes (keyboard) player for your worship band this weekend. I think this instrument of blogging was meant more for those students who wanted to share with the leaders (such as myself) what the best, worst, or just fun parts of this weekend were for you. Well, I must take it upon myself at this time to break that "rule" and blog for the students. I hope many of you read this, as I don't know if I'll be able to let you know what I have to say any other way.
I cannot begin to tell you how inspirational this weekend has been for me. You students have had an incredible and agile way of getting into my heart this weekend. I loved playing games in the lobby with you, talking with some of you, (basket)balling with a few of you, and worshipping with all of you. Your collective heart for God is as important to me as the music we worshipped to is. In all my years of playing music, I have never had an opportunity like I had this weekend to truly celebrate God in such a living way. You have an excitement in your eyes and your hearts and your bodies that is unmatched. You have proven to this musician that the involvement of the body of Christ in the worship of his Son is essential for LIFE. Life would not be the same without worship. We have a gift, as humans, from God to be able to bless him with our praise. In turn, we have a gift, as fellow humans, to be able to bless each other. You have all blessed me this weekend. I am honored to be given the opportunity to return the favor.
May God Bless you all in everything that you do, and know that lives are changed simply by your willingness to jump around and be a teenager and love your God. Please, do all of those things, and keep Christ as the center of your exciting life. You will not regret a minute of it.
Truly~

Sunday already?!
I have been doing the videos for DYC and it's been fantastic. I've worked my patootie off and had a blast. I even had my first foray into the world of special effects. God has certainly been present here, as I've seen him work in the my group and among the staff. It's almost time to return to the real world. Thankfully, my time here has prepared me well for reentry.

DYC is amaaaazing
Sooo coming to DYC has been such a great experience for me. I love the atmosphere and the people here. I've really liked Jason's monologues and Ted was awesome! I love all the different stuff we've been doing. I've learned quite a few things this weekend but the main thing that I've been thinking about is... This morning, hearing Jason's "King David" monologue made me realize that maybe I've been focusing too much on myself and my own problems instead of focusing on God and what he wants to do with my life. I think He really has a great plan for my life but I just need to slow down and listen. I have a lot of learning to do but all the seminars and speakers here have helped a lot with all of my questions. I'm soooo glad I was able to come and I hope to come back every year till I graduate! I <3 DYC!!!
Showing me more.
This weekend I came with a mountain of drama and suffering on my shoulders, everyday crushing me more and more. Then, last night as we were singing near the end... The last verse, the words within it brought me to the bible verse "come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest".
I bowed my head and I prayed to God with all I had, asking him to relieve me of all this stress and burden. To just open my eyes and put it all in his hands because only he knows the course we will all take, and the troubles we will all face. And I as I silently spoke "amen", I automatically felt like weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and I was at peace.
And through this whole experience I've come to learn that God puts these hards times in our lives so that we can simply turn to him and ask for his advice and help. So that further on down the road, we will be able to help someone through the same type of trouble.
I thank him daily for all he's done in my life, and I pray that people here this weekend will see the awesome things he's doing and will continue doing in their lives.

DYC Rocks My World!
This is my first time at DYC and I am loving it to death.
Our Cabin times with our combined hotel rooms have bean off train (the Soul Train). The Spirit was definitly with us last night while we watched the TRAIN roll on for hours on end.
Dyc is basically the coolest thing ever and GOD is so powerfull here, i love it. The way the sessions are set up is rad and a half, and worship time is rockin my world. I heart JESUS, DYC and the SOUL TRAIN.

I should love people better
In the "Unlovable" seminar, we played a very funny game about whether or not you would go on a date with someone dresseed in a mullet, American-style sweatsuit, etc. It was funny, but I realized how much I base someone's worth on what they look like. It was incredibly convicting. None of us have an excuse for not treating people like they have value; we should act like Jesus would.
Four people don't fit in a hotel bed.
Last night during the fire alarm everyone in my room was so scared. We had the genius idea that we all could fit into one bed. So all four of us got in the same bed and tried to sleep. IT DIDN'T WORK

jacob the teenage dirtbag
today i went to a youth group called jacob the teenage dirtbag. it was a really cool thing and we had a great speaker. i learned all about what jacob went through.
1st day is over...
OK, I know we said this would be up and now we are able to have it running. We should have some things on here this evening from students and leaders, maybe even this afternoon!
We'll see.
The first night was AWEsome. There were a few groups from the seattle area that had major traffic issues in Seattle, so they arrived a bit late, otherwise it was good. Enough from me, I will let students tell you about it.

Load and Unload
So today we loaded a 26 foot moving truck with all the sound equipment, games, projectors, etc. And it was all in the rain. Bummer. So we got a little wet today. Hey, it's the PNW!
We got everything unloaded at the hotel and ready to be put in place for the morning. We got a crew from Arlington, WA and Salem, OR and a few here and there. We shot more video (my first music video "premieres" tonight), went on an AWEsome prayer walk, praying for everyone who will be coming this weekend and all that will be going on. We even had some "random" guy (Russell) walk through our circle and ask if he could join us. After we prayed for him and his ministry to prisoners and then he prayed for us and YOU! He was powerful!!!
Late night chatting and preparing, but ready to go!!!
Hurry up and get here already!!!

Gettin ready...paint and videos
Today Lisa painted the signage we will be using. It made the whole office stink. I can't believe she didn't pass out being so close to it. It looks really cool. I think it will be great when it hangs up in the meeting room.
tra was also working on the "museum" we will have that will include pictures of things that have changed the way we live today.
I was busy working on videos and will be until Friday. haha.
that's the latest.
I'm out (back to some more editing)

DYC 2007 is almost here!!!

We are just over a week away and things are hopping around here. We are very excited about DYC. We have been praying for all the students and leaders who will be attending. "This Changes Everything" is the theme and we are praying God would change things in our lives like crazy. We are praying that He would come into our lives and become so real that we are completely different as a result.
During DYC you will be able to blog on here and let your parents, friends, etc. read it. So spread the word. Check it out. Feel free to comment on it too.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
